Dear friends and colleagues,
I am excited to share some good news with you today about the next phase of our growth. We have now reached over 450 employees including over 350 in Malta, making us one of the biggest employers on the island.
We want to create the most inspirational work environments for our community. With our offices we want to “Challenge the Ordinary”. As you know, we announced the lease on our new HQ @GiG Beach (St George’s Bay, Malta) well over a year ago, a great building offering amazing work spaces, and something we have all been looking forward to.
@GiG Sky at Pendergardens is the next GIG Campus in line
However, a year is a long time in such a fast growing company and we have already outgrown that new building. So, I am delighted to let you know that we are leasing space in a second and equally cool building to fit us all in. The new office will be named @GiG Sky and is located in the top four floors of the new Pendergardens Tower, where we will have over 3,200 SQM of space. Currently, we aim to move there in Autumn 2018.
We also secured a total of 682 SQM high end residential apartments at Pendergardens. These will be interconnected to the offices and will be used as company apartments to house visiting team members, relocating employees or business acquaintances.
Starting the week 25th September we will start to move the following people into @GiG Beach in a phased approach:
- GiG Central (HR, Comms, Finance, Facilities)
- GiG Gaming Cloud (iGC)
- Betting Cloud
The following people will be based at @GiG Sky from Autumn 2018:
- GiG Media (Innovation Labs)
- GiG Gaming (Rizk, Brand X, Guts, Thrills, Superlenny, Kaboo, Betspin)
Current offices in GB Buildings to get a make-over
In the interim, while @GiG Sky is being fitted out, GiG Media will stay in the Sliema office, but will move to the 4th and 5th floors, with the use of the 6th floor recreational space. GiG Gaming will all sit together in GB Buildings. We are therefore currently improving the design and environment of GB Buildings as well.
We have prepared a list of FAQs to answer any immediate questions on the office move.
